our history
YoFi Fest, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit with the mission of promoting arts and culture through film festivals, lectures, workshops, screenings and similar activities. To do this, we opened our DMAC (a/k/a Digital Media Art Center, pronounced "dee-mack"), a year-round classroom and lecture hall designed to present a wide variety of screenings, educational workshops, and events in two unique environments. We're committed to giving artists a venue to show their work and providing our audience with programs that they might not see anywhere else.
The Digital Media Art Center (DMAC) opened in 2018 as the year-round home for YoFiFest, the Yonkers Film Festival, which started in 2013. It's located on the ground floor of the historic Otis Elevator Factory, which is now iPark Hudson, in the heart of the revitalized downtown waterfront, home to an ever-growing number of restaurants, art galleries, shops and residential buildings. It houses a 50 seat screening room, event and classroom space and our administrative offices.
